Another fantastic #NetZero building tour in the books! 🌿💡Botanical Garden of the Piedmont is in the process of developing the second net zero building in Charlottesville! It is always great to see our local businesses and facilities take steps to reduce their impact on our climate. Congratulations on this exciting development!

A few of our C3 staff and interns had the exciting opportunity to tour Piedmont Virginia Community College 's new #NetZero building! We were thrilled to learn about its various energy-efficient features, including geo-exchange wells, solar tube lights, and an impressive solar array.🌍 🌞

On hot days like today, it's important to stay cool, especially at home. See this clip of Marketing and Outreach Manager Jala Tyler, one of our friends at Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP), sharing more about energy efficiency programs that can help keep your home cool this summer. LEAP assists in energy efficiency solutions to reduce home energy and sustainability costs. You may qualify for free energy efficiency upgrades, such as attic insulation and lightbulb replacements! Happy Pride from C3! 🥳🌈 Today, June 28th, marks the anniversary of the start of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising where LGBTQIA+ activists fought back against a discriminatory police raid over the span of six days. Historically, the LGBTQIA+ community has been silenced and disenfranchised, making them one of the most vulnerable communities to the negative impacts of climate change. Regardless of sexual orientation, We all have the born right to breathe clean air, have access to clean water and nutritional food.
