Democrats seeking to keep Robert F. Kennedy Jr. off the ballot in Texas say the independent presidential candidate’s campaign failed to submit the necessary number of petition signatures. Kennedy’s campaign was required to submit 113,151 valid signatures to appear on November’s ballot. It turned in more than double the needed signatures in May, saying the overabundance showed strong voter interest and volunteer support. By Nolan D. When a widespread global technology outage disrupted air travel last week, it was uncertain how quickly airlines could bounce back. American, which called off nearly 9% of its scheduled flights on July 19 when the outage occurred, recovered by the next day with just over 1% of its flights canceled, aviation analytics company Cirium reported. However, Delta is still feeling the aftermath of the outage with three straight days of over 30% of their flights canceled, according to Cirium. President Joe Biden’s name has not yet been submitted for the Texas ballot, so his departure from the 2024 presidential race will not affect finalizing and printing ballots for the Nov. 5 election, state and party officials say. State law gives the Texas Democratic Party until Aug. 25 – 71 days before the election – to submit the names of its nominees for president and vice president.
After Biden’s withdrawal, there is time to put his Democratic replacement on Texas ballots
