Congrats to Kara Egan, Avnesh Thakor and the Teal Health team! Just a few days ago, they announced their clinical trial completed enrollment in record time AND due to the strength of their midpoint data, they have been granted FDA Breakthrough Designation! This means they will receive priority review of their at-home cervical cancer screening device when they submit their final data to the FDA. In a deal led by Adrienne Rees with support from Adam Kiki-Charles, The Equity Alliance invested in Teal Health a few months ago 🌟🌟 Read more here

As an early-stage #venturecapital firm investing in healthier and regenerative food & ag systems for people and the planet, their investments focus on businesses that are both venture-scalable and impact-centered. It’s inspiring to see a Fund I lead with such a thoughtful approach to evaluating, tracking and reporting on their portfolio’s impact. And, to openly share their frameworks and tools with the community. The 2023 report includes: - The Supply Change Capital Theory of Change - How they invest with a lens for impact - A portfolio-level view of their impact-orientation - Case studies on their portfolio's work and progress - The tools they have developed to support their impact process (which you can also download!) My North Star, and my mission in life, is to democratize opportunity and help as many people as possible fulfill their potential - especially those who have historically been left behind. These people will change the world. Westbound Equity Partners Fund II allows us to back more founders building companies that will solve the world’s most pressing problems. It allows us to bring more Black and Latino founders and professionals into the greatest wealth generating opportunity of our time. I’m so excited to continue this work alongside my incredible partners Ian Beadle, Will Bumpus, and Danae Sterental. Fund II is not possible without the founders we’ve worked with over the past several years. Your performance, persistence, and accomplishments are what gave our investors conviction in us and our mission. This is also the successful effort of every single person who has contributed in any way, big or small, on our journey. Advisors, investors, colleagues, friends, and our families. Thank you for heading Westbound with us. Read more from Alex Konrad on Forbes here:
