We're full of inspiration and gratitude following last month's #FancyFoodShow! Supported by the USDA Northwest Rocky Mountain Regional Food Business Center, The Connecting and Scaling Food Entrepreneurs team, co-led by The Food Corridor and Oregon State Food Innovation Center, sponsored a cohort of nine emerging food entrepreneurs to participate in Incubator Village.
Trade shows like The Fancy Food Show provide an invaluable opportunity for entrepreneurs to market their products to a large audience of buyers, distributors, press, and service providers, however can have many barriers to entry. Our goal is to utilize this grant to alleviate these challenges by:
💲Increasing accessibility through financial support.
🫴Providing technical assistance during monthly planning sessions leading up to the Show.
📚Sponsoring tuition to educational courses, such as SFA's Makers Prep Course, to increase business acumen.
💛Supporting entrepreneurs in real-time during the Show and acting as brand ambassadors for their products.
The impact of trade shows can change the trajectory of a small business. Since participating in the Winter Fancy Food Show in January, our entrepreneurs secured deals with retailers such as Central Market, H.E.B, King Soopers, and Sodexo. We're so excited to cheer them on and watch them grow!
