Since 2011, when its partnership with The Ireland Funds began, Irish Dogs for the Disabled has placed 380 assistance/therapy dogs with families and treatment facilities across Ireland. From opening doors and turning on lights, to retrieving items and assisting with walking, watch to see the remarkable impact these highly trained assistance dogs have on children and adults with physical disabilities, helping them grow in confidence and achieve greater independence in their lives. #TheIrelandFundsIsThere

This year's scholars represent a diverse array of disciplines and bring with them a wealth of knowledge, innovative ideas, and a commitment to positive change. As they embark on their studies abroad, we look forward to supporting their growth, fostering their ambitions, and celebrating their successes. Politics in Action believes in a world where young people are engaged in decisions that impact their lives, the lives of their communities, and the wider world. Last year, our Heart of the Community Fund supported Politics In Action's efforts to amplify the voices of young people through active collaboration with politicians, all with the goal of creating a more equitable, inclusive political landscape.

Crann Centre provides comprehensive support for individuals and families living with neuro-physical disabilities. It offers a range of services, including therapy, education, and social inclusion activities, focusing on holistic care. In 2022 and 2023, our Heart of the Community Fund helped The Crann Centre expand its vital programs and services, empowering individuals and families living with neuro-physical disabilities.

Over 120 supporters of The Ireland Funds gathered at The Dubliner Boston on June 6 for The Ireland Funds Boston Young Leaders Summer Social. Event Co-Chairs Sean Hannigan and John Flaherty welcomed those gathered and thanked the Young Leaders Committee for their dedication to the mission of The Ireland Funds and their contributions to the event’s success. Paul Rooney, Vice Consul General of Ireland in Boston, was in attendance along with Josh Kraft, President of the New England Patriots Foundation. Tim Griffiths from Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, one of the many organizations supported by The Ireland Funds, spoke to those gathered. He thanked The Ireland Funds for its support and shared stories of two social entrepreneurs whose success was greatly accelerated by the funding and grants they had received. In addition to the thanks from Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, guests had an opportunity to hear about the impact The Ireland Funds has on hundreds of nonprofit organizations working in communities across the island of Ireland. This Pride Month, #TheIrelandFundsIsThere for organizations like ShoutOut making a difference in the LGBTQI+ community. Through personal storytelling and educational programs, ShoutOut empowers LGBTQI+ individuals, sparks understanding and encourages allyship.
