"We're witnessing a groundswell of interest in Jewish communal life," explains Jewish Federations of North America’s Becky Caspi. "Our challenge now is finding meaningful ways to welcome and integrate these individuals into our communities. Our data shows that about a third of Jews are eager to deepen their understanding of Israel and Jewish life. Approximately a quarter express interest in becoming more involved in their local Jewish community activities." https://ow.ly/a8ul50Tj6Ll

A Holocaust survivor from the Former Soviet Union in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, told his Jewish Family & Children’s Services (JFCS) case manager, “Jamila, you’re a miracle, there is finally someone I can talk to, and my heart stopped aching, and I feel as if I was born again.” The Jewish Federations of North America’ Center on Aging, Trauma, and Holocaust Survivor Care is proud to fund services that change lives. -- with Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey and Our Family of Agencies/

“We weren’t building the fire department while the house was burning down. Over the past nine years, we made significant investments, built an infrastructure and established trusting relationships. So, when the crisis hit, we could confidently go to our partners and say, ‘We trust you to manage these funds responsibly,’” says Greater Miami Jewish Federation's executive director, Jeffrey Levin. Jewish Federations are devastated at the news that Hamas has killed six more hostages, among them the American Hersh Goldberg-Polin z”l, whose story we have come to know so well through the tireless advocacy of his parents Rachel and Jon. We mourn the loss of these innocents, Hersh, Eden Yerushalmi z”l, Carmel Gat z”l, Almog Sarusi z”l, Alex Lubnov z”l, and Ori Danino z”l. Our hearts are with their families and loved ones, may they be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. We pray that the remaining hostages will soon be returned home safely.
