Our Employee Appreciation Day earlier this month was a huge success! 🙌🏻 We decided to mix things up by dividing our awesome employees into teams and assigning each team a color. The mission? Perform 50 different tasks inside and around the office! These tasks were a mix of fun challenges that tested their skills and ability to work together, as well as opportunities to show off our company's 4 Core Values through creative acts. It was a blast to see everyone getting involved! 😆 🤝 Safe to say that everyone had a great time! 🎉😎 #employeeappreciation #team #teamwork #corevalues #march

Meet Nash Cain! 😊👋🏻  Prior to the holidays, Nash drew a picture of a Kincaid yellow school bus for Ron Cox, former C.E.O. of The Kincaid Group.  Ron reached out to Mary Matteson about the possibility of gathering yellow school bus paraphernalia around the office for Nash.  You see, Nash has a fascination with school buses.  This seven-year-old little boy knows everything about school buses; the different manufacturers, gas/diesel, and even had watched videos on the safety features! 🚌 Mary gathered items, and worked with Dale Bohn, Regional Senior Advisor with DS Bus Lines and asked for his help in securing a bus to surprise Nash during the holidays for a ride around the area. Dale and Raed Kandah, Contract Manager with DS Bus Lines secured the bus, and the rest of the story is captured in the pictures!  📸 At the end of the ride, Nash announced he wants to be a bus driver when he grows up!   We’ll be waiting for you Nash!     According to Taylor Cain, Nash’s mother, “the bus ride was the highlight of his Christmas break!  A memory he will always have!” 💛

We’re a few months into the school year, and it’s never too late to have conversations about technology and set intentions for device usage with your children. 💬 Many schools assign devices like laptops or tablets, which students are responsible for taking care of (and using safely) the entire year. 💻📱🤳🏻 If this is the case for your family, it’s important to consider the role that device will play in your home. Setting boundaries and establishing trust is key to creating healthy digital habits. 👌🏻 Here are some questions to consider as you set boundaries around school-issued devices with your family: 📲Where in the house will we use the device? 📲Where in the house will we charge the device? 📲What apps do we agree can be used on the device? 📲Does your child need to ask permission to use the device? #BackToSchool #Electronics #Boundaries #DigitalHabits #DeviceSafety

For today’s #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth topic we are talking about phishing! Phishing is similar to fishing in a lake but instead of trying to capture fish, phishers attempt to steal your personal and financial information. 👤🏦 Phishing emails and text messages often tell a story to trick you into clicking on a link or opening an attachment. 📧 You might get an unexpected email or text message that looks like it’s from a company you know or trust, like a bank or a credit card or utility company. Or maybe it’s from an online payment website or app. At first glance, it may look real, but it’s not. 📵 Like this post if you learned something new and share this post with your friends and family so they can avoid falling for the latest phishing scams too! 🔐   #CyberSecurity #DigitalSafety #OnlineSafety #Phishing #OnlinePhishing

Earlier this year, The TKG Foundation hosted a charity golf tournament to raising money for the following charities: Giving The Basics, Folds of Honor and Holy Family School of Faith. ⛳️ Due to the incredible support from our generous sponsors, donations and silent auctions, we were able to achieve our 3 year goal of raising over $300,000. 🙌🏻 We are so thankful for these amazing partnerships. 🙏🏻 Pictured: Photos taken at our check award ceremony! 🥳 #TheKincaidGroupFoundation #Charity #GiveBack

In case you missed it, this month is #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth! 🤓 Last week we talked about the importance of using strong passwords and a password manager. Today we are shedding light on a hot topic in the digital space: multi-factor authentication. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an electronic authentication method that requires the user to provide two or more forms of identity verification before they're allowed access to a website, network, or application. There are 3 different types of MFA: 1. Something You Know 💬 Ex: passwords, PINs, receiving text or email 2. Something You Have 🔑 Ex: physical object like a key or smart card 3. Something You Are 👤 Ex: biometric verifications like FaceID check, retina scan or voice recognition Why you need MFA: 🛡 SECURE against identity theft via stolen passwords to ensure your organization remains secure, even if another company has experienced credential theft that's resulted in your employees' passwords being leaked. 🛡 PROTECT against weak employee passwords so a hacker can't gain access to your network even if they do manage to steal an employee's password. 🛡 MODERATE the use of unmanaged devices so organizations no longer have to worry about the security of remote employees' personal devices and WiFi connections. Stay tuned for more cybersecurity tips and education this month! #MultifactorAuthentication #CyberSecurity #DigitalSafety
