Wage Equity. Competitive Massachusetts. Starting in 2025, employers with 25 or more employees will be required to provide a salary range on job postings. Governor Healey signed the wage transparency bill with the support and collaboration with the legislature, business community, and advocates to drive greater equity in the workplace for workers. As this policy is implemented, the Healey-Driscoll administration looks forward to working with employers to leverage this as a new tool to attract and retain skilled talent in Massachusetts.

This week, Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development Lauren Jones and CommCorp President & CEO Molly Jacobson toured Girls Inc. of Worcester to see firsthand how their YouthWorks-funded programs make an impact. This summer, Girls Inc., in partnership with Worcester Community Action Council, Inc., is providing 40 YouthWorks participants with invaluable career development experiences. As camp counselors, these young women are inspiring young minds while enhancing their own leadership skills. These workforce development programs are crucial as they equip the next generation with the skills and experience needed to succeed in their future careers.

The Healey-Driscoll Administration is dedicated to creating pathways to employment, closing the skills gap, and increasing access to career opportunities especially for underrepresented, underserved, underemployed, and unemployed individuals. It’s great to see Seven Hills Foundation and Open Sky Community Services welcome work-authorized individuals to their workforce. These individuals are an integral part of our workforce, and they want to make an impact in their communities.

Seven Hills Foundation and Open Sky Community Services are teaming up on workforce training programs that build a strong pipeline, especially for BIPOC individuals, immigrants, and refugees, to enter and progress in the human services field. This is the kind of collaboration it takes to attract, retain, and develop a future workforce in Massachusetts - especially in the health and human services industry. Great visiting Seven Hills Foundation in Worcester earlier this week to learn more about workforce programs!
