According to a Forbes article, pollinators are responsible for just over 1 out of every 3 bites of food we eat. Honeybees play a large role. Keeping bees not only produces wonderfully flavorful local honey but is also a great reason to let native plants (sadly branded weeds by some) work their way back into the ecosystem! This benefits not only honeybees but other native pollinators as well. All of which work tirelessly to put food on our tables!
