  • “To Sell is Human” by Daniel Pink This book emphasizes that EVERYONE engages in "selling" by persuading and influencing others daily. For example: - Physicians convince patients to follow treatment plans. - Parents influence their children to adopt good habits, like doing chores. - Teachers persuade students of the importance of paying attention in class. Pink suggests using "Yes, and…" to foster collaboration and keep conversations constructive instead of saying “Yes, but…” or “NO.” Let’s discuss key concepts from “To Sell is Human,” and how they relate to NURSES seeking a career in Medical Sales: 🔸 Non-Sales Selling - Nurses often persuade patients to follow treatment plans, adhere to medication schedules, or adopt healthier lifestyles. This involves influencing and motivating patients without direct sales. 🔸 Attunement - (understanding others) Nurses must connect with patients by understanding their perspectives and emotions, which is crucial for effective communication and patient care. 🔸 Buoyancy - (staying positive) Nurses face challenges and rejections, such as patients refusing treatment. Maintaining a positive attitude helps in navigating these situations. 🔸 Clarity - (communicating effectively) Nurses need to clearly explain medical information and treatment plans to patients, ensuring understanding and compliance. Are you ready to STAND OUT in your Med Rep interviews? Nurses make great Medical Sales Representatives. You just need to PROVE it. Will you be NEXT? <><><><><><><><> ⚠️ If you are tired of playing the “Numbers Game”…DM me.

  • "My mind on my money, my money on my mind." (Snoop Dogg) In today’s fast-paced consumer landscape, comparison shopping has become more than just a trend; it's a crucial strategy for making informed purchasing decisions. This method doesn’t change when selecting a career coach. When evaluating your options, focusing solely on price will NOT optimize your outcome. By assessing experience, results, and customer reviews alongside pricing, you can identify the best overall value for YOU. If you're pursuing a career in Medical Sales and believe partnering with a career coach could improve your results, this message is designed specifically for you. When evaluating a career coach, consider several important factors: 1. Generic guidance vs. specific to Medical Sales. 2. Job titles & Years of experience = Larger network & More resources. 3. Demonstrated success in assisting individuals with your specific NEEDS. 4. Classroom learning vs. 1:1 remote coaching. (What’s better for YOU?) 5. Do they understand your unique needs? ➝ Tailored advice rather than generic solutions. 6. During a phone conversation, do you LIKE and TRUST them to help you? 7. Cost + Return on Investment (ROI). Evaluate the cost against potential benefits like potential earnings. Investing in a career coach can provide clarity, improve interview skills, and speed up your desired results. I’m not for everyone. My expertise and personality is not for everybody. There are plenty of remarkable career coaches to choose from. Pro Tip - Engage with others, seek recommendations, and explore your options to discover the ideal Med Rep career coach for you. <><><><><><><><><> I’ve included a comparison chart for Medical Sales career coach interviews.

  • 🚫 Top 10 ways to Bomb your Medical Sales job search! 🚫 1. Procrastinate like a pro! ↳ Why start today when you can put it off until tomorrow? 2. Complain about it! ↳ Say statements like, “Too many candidates applied” or “The interview process is too competitive.” 3. Wait for the “perfect” moment. ↳ You are waiting for the stars to align…that perfect networking opportunity to arrive. 4. Play the blame game. ↳ Always point fingers at your circumstances. It’s never your fault, right? 5. Read, learn, and do nothing! ↳ Knowledge is power, but only if you incorporate the learnings. 6. Do your best, but not what’s required. ↳ Give it your all, but only if it’s convenient. Who needs to actually go above & beyond? 7. Follow the herd. ↳ Be a sheep 🐑 and do what everyone else is doing. Originality is overrated! 8. Talk big, DO small. ↳ Make grand promises and then…ghost. It’s the ultimate power move! 9. Seek wisdom from outsiders! ↳ Because advice from individuals outside the healthcare industry is always spot-on. 10. Focus on what you don’t have. ↳ Instead of being resourceful, just dwell on your lack of resources. That’s the spirit! Remember, if you want to succeed in medical sales, avoid these pitfalls and embrace a proactive approach. <><><><><><><><><> DM me if you don’t know where to start your Med Rep journey.

  • Feeling anxious about job interviews? You're not alone! ⚠️ 93% of candidates experience anxiety before and during interviews. ⚠️ 73% of job seekers feel stressed throughout the job search process. ⚠️ 29% find interviews more intimidating than medical checkups. Here are 5 strategies from Sam Owens book "I Hate Job Interviews" to help you shine: 1. Interview Prep: ↳ Dedicate at least 10 hours to prepare for each interview. Research the company’s mission, values, and recent news. 2. Tell Your Story: ↳ Use the SPAR method (Situation, Problem, Action, Result) to craft memorable stories. Example: Situation: “At my current employer, we faced a tight deadline on a critical project.” Problem: “The team was behind schedule due to unforeseen technical issues.” Action: “I organized daily meetings to address challenges and reallocated resources to focus on key tasks.” Result: “As a result, we completed the project on time, and it increased client satisfaction by 30%.” 3. Mock Interviews: ↳ Partner with a friend or mentor to simulate an interview. Ask them to pose common interview questions like, “What are your strengths and weaknesses?” and practice your responses. 4. First Impressions Matter: ↳ When asked, “Tell me about yourself,” instead of reciting your resume, start with a brief personal story that highlights your passion for the industry. 5. Follow-Up: ↳ Always send a thank-you email after the interview. In your email, express gratitude for the opportunity, reiterate your interest in the position, and mention a key point from the interview that reinforces your fit for the role. Implement these tips and watch your interview game soar! Pro Tip - There are not many Medical Sales job opportunities available and they are highly competitive. Therefore, if you committing 10 hours of your time and energy into interview preparation…ENSURE THAT YOU PREPARING THE MED REP WAY. <><><><><><><><><> Engage with this post by sharing your own interview tips or experiences! • Hiring the RIGHT Med Rep. Skills secure the interview. ⇢ Your personality wins the JOB. Selecting candidates with the right personality impacts team dynamics, job performance, and employee retention. Let’s discuss traits of an exceptional Territory Manager: Stay focused. ⇢ They don’t get distracted by cranky customers, bad days, or a change in the territory. These individuals can differentiate between real problems and background noise. Accountability. ⇢ They don’t say, “It’s not my fault.” They own their work, their decisions, and their results (good or bad). Navigate conflict. ⇢ They don’t seek conflict; however, they don’t run away from it either. They’re able to maintain their composure while presenting their positions calmly and logically. Yearning for more. ⇢ They possess an unwavering belief that things can always be better. There is a hunger for development and improvement. Above and beyond. ⇢ Meaning, they work outside the boundaries of job descriptions. You will never hear them say, “That’s not in my job description.” Solution orientated. ⇢ Instead of diagnosing problems for the manager, they fix things! They speak in terms of solutions, "How can we move forward?" This is how you show your VALUE. This is how you land your next OPPORTUNITY. This is how you “make it easy” for the manager to hire YOU. What are we missing? <><><><><><><><> New Med Rep job coming your way. 3X your income with video learning.

  • “I’m networking like crazy and adjusting my resume.” Wake up call ➝ All the other Med Rep candidates are as well. • Are you tired of being invisible? Just so you know, medical sales recruiters and talent acquisition specialists utilize LinkedIn to find candidates. They filter searches using keywords and phrases relevant to the open position. What does this mean to you? ➝ If you don’t have keywords in specific areas on your LinkedIn profile, you are less likely to show up in searches. That’s NOT helpful for your Med Rep job search. These sections improve your LinkedIn “search-ability” ✔️ Experience ✔️ Title-line ✔️ Location ✔️ About ✔️ Skills Your keywords should be related to Medical Sales: 🔹 Results 🔹 Teamwork 🔹 Call points 🔹 Healthcare 🔹 Leadership 🔹 Business acumen 🔹 Territory management What should we add to the list? In addition, approximately 67% of companies/managers check the candidate’s LinkedIn profile before extending a job offer. (Newswire) Is your LinkedIn profile, helping or hurting YOU? <><><><><><><><><><> DM me if you are missing Med Rep opportunities because of your LinkedIn.

  • Med Rep Career Resilience In all likelihood, your career won’t follow a straight line. There will be unexpected twists and turns, forcing you to navigate through the challenge. But, knowing this is the reality for many medical sales professionals, you can plan for the obstacle ahead. Adversity happened early in my Med Rep career. I was recently married and we had our first daughter. My blinders were on and I was drinking the company Kool-Aid. There was a company conference call scheduled on a Friday afternoon. A Human Resources Executive spoke with a robotic voice and no emotion. “We have decided to reduce the work force by 8%.” What!?!?! I was terrified. The entire situation sucked! Several key learnings from my setback: 🔑 Plan for the unexpected. 🔑 Be cautiously loyal to a corporation. 🔑 Understand your employer’s financials. 🔑 Evaluate the firm’s pipeline and strategy. 🔑 Have a strong support network around you. Know the warning signs of a layoff: ⛔️ Budget cuts. ⛔️ Hiring freeze. ⛔️ Managers start leaving. ⛔️ Employee metrics increase. ⛔️ Internal communication is reduced. Career resilience is the ability to bounce back from challenges in our professional lives. Even if things are going well in your career right now, it’s a good idea to LEARN new skills, EXPAND your network, and STAY current on industry trends. That way, when the unexpected occurs, you won’t be caught off-guard. How do you prepare for the unexpected? <><><><><><><><> P.S. Put a 👎 in the comments if you’ve experienced a layoff.
