We are proud to serve our customers with safe, reliable service. After a severe storm devastated our electric system in Trumbull and Shelton, our line crew worked around the clock to restore power to thousands of homes. We don’t do it for the kudos, but notes of appreciation from our customers truly do make our day. We are grateful to serve such a supportive community.

UI is Energized for Good! Our team was pleased to volunteer at the Connecticut Humane Society headquarters in Newington, where they made pillows for the dogs, cats, and other animals as cozy additions to their crates - and eventually, their Furever Homes. We also said hello to a few of the furry recipients of our work, who seemed very glad to meet us! Thank you, Connecticut Humane Society, for the opportunity to volunteer with you.

Our summer trade interns had an amazing time visiting the Cardinal Shehan Center summer camp! They shared their experiences working alongside UI lineworkers, allowed campers to explore a bucket truck, and provided information on the tools and equipment lineworkers use when working on utility poles and wires in their communities. We deeply appreciate our longstanding partnership with the Cardinal Shehan Center, which offers a variety of programs to youth in Bridgeport. We look forward to continuing to work together to expand students’ knowledge and understanding of the utility industry.
