  • London? Been there, done that? The American traveler to England follows mostly a set familiar route: London, Bath, the Cotswolds, Stratford-on-Avon, maybe Yorkshire, Cornwall, and the Lake District. But in between these honey-pot destinations, there is a whole country in there that is widely passed through and over. There are whole counties in which the novice traveler is completely unfamiliar, and thus miss a great deal of what makes England, well, England. This course will provide an opportunity and an itinerary to visit the lesser-known landscape and treasures of England. Register for "England Beyond London, Bath, and the Cotswolds" Now 15% Off (discount applied at checkout) Click here: https://bit.ly/3OW4maG Mondays, 6 classes, April 20 - June 17 In person at WIH and simulcast via Zoom.

  • Here’s To You! with Hank Roubicek, Ph.D. Sunday, April 21 | 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM | $40 Weddings, anniversaries, retirement, bar mitsvahs, milestone birthdays, and more. Special occasions as meaningful to you as to the one being celebrated. You may have words to share but shy away when asked to deliver a toast or are reluctant to give one because you don’t know where to start. Or end. But the message we graciously convey in a toast serves as a verbal heirloom to those we love. Learning to communicate the right sentiments with a self-introduction, then to tell a short story that connects to the event, and finally wrapping it up may look like an easy task but for those who need help putting it together, it is indeed a tall order. So, here’s to you for registering for this fun, quick-paced class. Congratulations!  Dr. Hank Roubicek, Professor Emeritus in Communication at University of Houston-Downtown, is an award-winning educator and Moth Radio grand slam champion storyteller. Hank has published instructional videos in public speaking, coached college “forensic” speech teams, and has served as a consultant to many who were terrified of the stage.
