📚 Exciting News! 📚 Dr. Joseph Polizzi first visited The Ringling in the 1970s, where he became captivated by Caterina Cornaro, Lady of Asolo, whose portrait is installed over the Royal Box of the Historic Asolo Theater. This fascination led to his book, Lady of Asolo: A Pictorial History of the Life and Times of Queen Caterina Cornaro—available in The Ringling gift shop. Now, this emeritus professor and Fulbright Scholar has donated his extensive collection of Italian books to The Ringling Art Library. This generous gift enriches our resources on Italian art, culture, gardens, literature, architecture, and history! Polizzi hopes the collection will inspire researchers, students, and art enthusiasts alike.
