Our global Diversity & Inclusion committee is committed to championing inclusivity across the business. As part of its efforts to do so, the committee recently worked with TIFS’s Women’s Empowerment Network to hold an Ally Workshop.   Feedback from the workshop was overwhelmingly positive. Simon Howell, our UK-based Director of Corporate Reporting, was so inspired by his experience that he was eager to discuss his thoughts on what he learnt. Check out Simon’s thoughts here: https://lnkd.in/dghj4Psq

Earlier this year we celebrated the official opening of our fifth and final e-Mobility Innovation Centre (eMIC).   Our state-of-the-art eMICs serve as spaces for designing, prototyping, and testing thermal management systems and components for electric vehicles, where we work alongside our customers to speed up development, nurture collaboration and promote innovation.    The journey began in 2022 with the launch of our first eMIC in Rastatt, Germany, marking a new era for collaboration and innovation. Since then, we’ve opened three eMICs in Asia-Pacific – Incheon, South Korea, and Nagoya, Japan, in June 2023 and Jiading, China, in October 2023 – and our final eMIC in Auburn Hills, Michigan, in June 2024. This year so far, we have seen great success at our innovation centres across the globe with: • 64 total customer visits to our TIFS eMICs  • 209 total visits to customer locations  • 13 joint product developments  • 20 total RFQs/RFIs We're proud of these milestones and excited for what's next. Thank you to our amazing team and partners for making this possible.

Recently we presented several of our latest products and innovations to Volvo Cars at a Tech Day in Gothenburg, Sweden.    Our dedicated Product Management, Program Management, Application Engineering, and Advanced Technology teams showcased our portfolio, which featured new fluid handling solutions, including thermal management, battery housing (HVBE), ADAS cleaning, and hydrogen lines.    This gave attendees an opportunity to get up close to innovative products such as our Integrated Thermal Manifold, Integrated Thermal Module Refrigerant, Inner Battery Fluid Distributor and Thermoplastic Refrigerant Lines.   We ran presentation sessions throughout the day, along with Q&As, discussions and a walk-around product display.   Thank you to our team for all the effort and preparation that went into making this event a success.

Last week, we were pleased to host Kevin Terrell Heard, MBA, President of the Detroit Regional LGBT Chamber of Commerce, at our corporate office. He spoke to us about the meaning and impact of intersectionality, leading a thought-provoking conversation that encouraged us to reflect on our own experiences and consider how we can contribute to a more inclusive environment for everyone. The event also marked Juneteenth, a significant day in American history that celebrates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. It was important to observe both Juneteenth and Pride to emphasise the value of understanding the different experiences and obstacles our colleagues and communities face. Yesterday, US media joined us in Auburn Hills, Michigan, for the official opening of our all-new e-Mobility Innovation Centre (eMIC).    Designed to nurture customer collaboration, the Auburn Hills eMIC promotes innovation, making it faster and more efficient for North American automakers to develop thermal management systems for hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicles.   The day started with remarks from President and CEO, Hans Dieltjens, and Chief Technology Officer, Johannes Helmich, followed by a roundtable Q&A discussion. The journalists were then given an exclusive tour of the new facility.   We’d like to thank all those who joined us today and congratulate our team on the successful opening of our brand-new eMIC.
