Hey friends, I have news to share! I started a company - it's called Titan Systems. Titan (YC W24) builds security software for Snowflake, starting with access management: users, roles, and permissions. I joined the Y Combinator Winter 2024 batch to help me bring this idea to market. Building a secure data platform is hard. I know this firsthand - at Multi Media, I led our 5PB, $1 million migration to Snowflake. It was challenging to get security right. It was harder to maintain that security position as we added 100s of users, data sets, and use cases. Data security was mission-critical. <10% of employees had access to customer data like name, email, and government ID. We needed a data platform that was secure by default. With 500+ unique privileges, 100+ resource types, and multiple access frameworks, it's not easy to DIY. With Titan, I want to bring my hard-earned experience to everyone. Titan is a web app and native app that helps you manage access in Snowflake. Titan stops data leaks with security policies, enforcing your compliance needs and preventing bad grants. My open-source project titan[core] is the change management system that powers everything I've built.
