Last week was a bittersweet experience for us. Yesterday, Top Ten Liquors hosted a THC Grand Tasting at our Roseville store. Each customer was greeted by a Top Ten Liquors employee who verified their age was 21 or older and ensured they were not visibly intoxicated before entering our store. We take this responsibility seriously, even if it occasionally disappoints some customers. We were thrilled to have over 300 customers attend our tasting event and are immensely grateful to our suppliers for their support. The event was a significant success in promoting the category safely and responsibly. However, we are facing challenges in Andover, MN, where the city is requiring Top Ten Liquors to remove THC products from our shelves. Despite registering as required with the state, the city has limited licenses and has not given us the opportunity to obtain one. We pride ourselves on being leaders in compliance and strive to grow the category positively for our customers and the great brands we carry. Unfortunately, this is the second city, following Cottage Grove, that has restricted us from carrying THC products. Many residents of Andover and Cottage Grove have expressed their disappointment with their local governments' decision. We remain committed to growing the THC category in a safe and legally compliant manner, just as we do with other parts of our business. We hope that more cities will support the category and recognize the positive impact it can have.

I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Director - Merchandising & Procurement at Top Ten Liquors! I am excited to continue to grow with such a forward-looking, leading company in the retail beverage space.

I had an interesting conversation with a great company in the THC space yesterday. They are looking to do exciting work to gain insights into our THC customers to grow the category. As part of the conversation and explaining the business, I took a moment to look at Q1 sales. As I’ve indicated before, THC is over 10% of our business. What I discovered yesterday were some interesting and fun facts. Year To Date: * THC sales exceed our entire craft beer category.  *THC sales exceed any subsection of wine (chardonnay, or cabernet Sauvignon, etc.). *THC sales exceed our entire vodka sales by volume. These results have been achieved in less than 10 months since we launched the category. We want to aggressively grow the category. We are looking for partners that can meet our category needs to help us continue our expansion: Quality, Innovation and Value for our customers. As we complete January, perhaps the most exciting development is that for the month a THC item will crack our top 10 items overall for the first time. Outperforming every seltzer beverage, all craft beer, all but a few wine, spirits and beer items. We are thrilled with our growth in THC as the category exceeds our expectations every day.
