Now that planting season is wrapping up, the TSD team is already making moves behind the scenes to bring urban forestry education and trainings to our community! Our program coordinators are busy distributing free trees, while project managers and fellows present on workforce development projects at local conferences; board member Mike Palat endorsed collaborative partnerships on behalf of TSD at the City of San Diego Environmental Committee meeting, and interns and staff reached a new milestone of 100 public events before June! The event, held in Prince William Forest Park, marked the launch of the American Climate Corps, a significant initiative aimed at addressing climate change at the grassroots level.
