Eliot Jones & Karoliina Torttila representing Trimble Ventures and Trimble Inc. at the BuiltWorlds Paris Summit!
A little late posting this, but my mind is still reeling from the BuiltWorlds Paris Summit a few weeks ago. It was a fantastic opportunity to get back to Paris, socialize with friends, and learn from some of the leaders driving the transformation of our industry. Here are a few highlights from the week: 1. Touring the newly built VINCI 's corporate headquarters and enjoying a happy hour at the Saint-Gobain HQ in the La Defense district 2. Presenting alongside the Construction Startup Competition partners on the latest trends driving innovation in our industry and emphasizing the need to break down competition and build partnerships. Antonia Elisa Soler Blasco Mateo Zimmermann Gonzalez Luis Amorim Cutler Knupp Greg Matthews Mauricio Tessi Weiss Jonathan Williet 3. Leading the Venture Forum Q&A session alongside Tanja Kufner and Tim Aidan Halter at the Bouygues Group Headquarters. Key topics of discussion included the ideal CVC fund structure, investing alongside strategics, effective collaboration between startups and business units, and follow-on investing. (The side-eye in this image, Tim needs to become a meme). 4. Many late dinners and copious good bottles of wine. In particular, an amazing meal hosted by Brick & Mortar Ventures with some great people Guillaume Bazouin Julien Villalongue Ibon Iribar Mateo Zimmermann Miguel Carralón Zornoza Karoliina Torttila Leonardo Rocchetti Steffen Schweiger Briston Blair Aaron Toppston Louis COTTIN 5. A day at the Leonard office to learn more about their catalyst program 6. Great discussions with some innovative startups; GScan, Hiboo, Machine26, bex technologies, Aitenders, ALICE Technologies Inc. and many more 7. Learning from Aaron Anderson on how competition between the various stakeholders in the construction delivery value chain is the limiting factor in achieving the productivity gains this industry needs Already looking forward to attending again next year.
