Idle Outpost by Rockbite Games Armenia, published by AppQuantum, already scaled to $150K a day in July. With more than 10 Million downloads and $6 Mil. IAP revenue behind it. We couldn't miss this very interesting iteration of 2 of our favorite games. Idle Outpost is a clever combination of Lessmore's Eatventure and JoyNet Games's Legend of Mushroom. Instead of food, you are selling supplies to other Zombie Apocalypse "customers," and you keep finding survivor gear with your trusty dog on the way through Zombie Wasteland. We keep saying this all the time, but Zombie theme works with everything and makes your CPI low "change my mind." There are also some very interesting iterations that fix some of the issues of the previous games, such as the turn-based auto-combat system, which is also PvP, the level design of the "restaurants," gear recipes, profit stacking, etc. Join us as Matej and Felix talk about all of this. Alert! A New Mobile Ad Unit Has Been Created: The Rewarded App Open Interstitial (RVAOI) Hexasort by Lion Studios has unveiled a brilliant and cunning new ad placement. Let's break it down: The player plays the game. The player closes the game. The player reopens the game. Hardcoded blackout screen: “ad break +2 coins.” Calls interstitial ad from mediation platform. Shows ad. Awards 2 coins to the player. This strategy is smart because: - It will generate a very high ad viewer rate. - The IMP/DAU will be as high as the number of daily user sessions. - Players appreciate receiving a reward. - The RVAOI placement is less intrusive due to timing in a non-interruptive placement. - It is compliant with Google’s Android Intersitial placement rules. - Starts every new session with a revenue event My estimates of what this placement does to Hexasort’s bottom line: Ad viewer rate: 70% IMP/DAU: 3-5 (I estimated at 4) DAU last 30 days: 1.3 million Daily Revenue from RVAOI placement: $40,039/day Monthly Revenue from placement: $1.2 million/month According to Sensor Tower data, Hexasort earns $2.3 million in IAPs, and I estimate the ad revenue to be around $290k/day. This means the RVAOI placement contributes nearly 20% of Hexasort's overall revenue. I expect this placement to become standard across all puzzle games within the next 6 months. WE were testing Project Rise PRE—ALPHA, a fun rogue-lite game that Supercell developed. Thank you for inviting two & a half gamers to play in pre-alpha stage! So far, there are 6 Heroes: Archer, Barbarian, Valkyrie, Fisherman, Hog Rider and Firecracker. You play in a team of 3 (if matchmaking works), exploring the map and trying to find the way to the next level of the tower, where you have to beat the boss stage. The perks are shared with your party so you can split up and clear the map quickly. The perks can range from sustain to damage and mobility. You respawn in 5 seconds when you die, but your party has limited respawns. Only two. You can get more revives with the "stay alive" perk. Well, tune in! I had quite a challenge playing the game when we recorded due to lagging, but the game was fine on Saturday. Its pre-alpha.
