In honor of National Women in Engineering Day, we’d like to introduce you to our very own Felicia Ortiz-Bury, Engineering Support Specialist at U.S. Boiler Company! “I’m a Mechanical Drafter with over 19 years of experience in the drafting field,” said Felicia.  “I started in the plastics industry designing car seats, moved to concrete wastewater treatment plant structures, then to metals. I settled in at US Boiler back in 2015.” “What drew me to this field was a class in high school called Principles of Technology where we studied math, science and technology, this was before STEM. We utilized what we learned in one class to help in the next. These courses all worked together to give us a broad outlook on how everything was related, leading to a final answer. I found my place in that class and never looked back.” “I love numbers, problem solving and seeing a product in its finished state. I feel there’s nothing better than seeing something you’ve been a part of come to life.” Join us in celebrating the pioneers, innovators, and the trailblazers who are transforming our world through engineering.
