"A senior community that feels like home." ❤️ Take a look at this great feature from SJ Mag Media on Collingswood Manor and their AMAZING Director of Sales and Marketing, Angela Imperiale! The article was part of the Mag's "Top Docs" September 2024 issue that showcased some "Faces of South Jersey," as it takes a deeper dive into life at Collingswood Manor with additional focus on all the fun things that happen in our community! UMC celebrated 50 years at Pitman Manor yesterday, in what was truly a special day for the entire #UMCFamily. We were absolutely blown away by the incredible love and support from all who stopped by. It was so amazingly apparent through your stories, your memories, and most importantly, the love in your voices, how many people Pitman Manor has touched, in one way or another, over the years. We want to give a special shoutout to Pitman Manor's SPECTACULAR Executive Director, Michele Matthews, for putting this all together and delivering such a beautiful speech to all in attendance. Special thanks, as well, to UMC VP of Operations, Dave Rayha, for his touching remarks during the ceremony, Pastor Kim Wecht for her wonderful blessing and prayer, our entire Dietary Services Team for the mouthwatering spread, and our very talented "Young at Heart Choir," who stole the show with their toe-tappin' performance! Of course, it was a total TEAM effort, and we could not have done it without all of the help from our residents, teammates, and volunteers. Looking forward to the next 50 years! ❤️

  • Exciting news!!! 😁 We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our Summer 2023 issue of engage! Magazine, "Dining Deliciously," was named a winner in the 33rd Annual National Mature Media Awards! The Mature Market Resource Center presented the program and recognized the nation’s finest marketing, communications, and educational materials designed for older adults. This year’s Awards evaluated pieces produced during the 2023 calendar year, and our "Dining Deliciously" issue received a Silver Award in the Publications/Editorial category! This incredible honor would not be possible without the hard work and efforts from our AMAZING Corporate Director of Communications, Rebecca Roe, who spearheaded the entire publication and served as the creative force behind this wonderful issue. But of course, it was a team effort, and following the award announcement, Rebecca offered some high praise for all who contributed: “We had a high level of participation from our communities in creating this issue, and we’re very pleased National Mature Media selected it as a winner! Food really brings people together and creates a sense of community, and our Dining Services teammates play a tremendous role in our residents’ daily lives – it was wonderful to celebrate that.” We'd also like to extend a sincere thank you to our partners Merz Branding (graphic design), The Kiva Group (printing), and Karl Young from VideoCrew (cover photo) for all of their help with this project! • THANK YOU, COLLINGSWOOD! 😎 We had a BLAST this past weekend at the Borough of Collingswood's Crafts and Fine Art Festival! Our Collingswood Manor teammates in attendance were blown away by the outpour of friends from the area who stopped by our table. It was so fun and, especially powerful to see such a large group of people gather together in what was truly a beautiful spotlight on our local community. Special shoutout to our hard-working teammates and volunteers who made the weekend such a great success and our AMAZING resident Sally, who came by our table to say hello! 😁

  • HomeWorks, a UMC Service, had a fantastic time sponsoring a fun day of Bingo at the Howard Stainton Senior Center in Ocean City! We always enjoy getting an opportunity to connect with all of the smiling faces that walk through these doors. It was such a treat to enjoy such a wonderful afternoon with these incredible individuals! Shoutout to our friends from The Shores, who co-sponsored the event with us! 😊

  • Another WONDERFUL #WellnessWednesday! 😎 UMC residents and teammates from our Bristol Glen community gathered together last week for a "Bristol-inspired" art workshop as part of our organization-wide #LifeChoices initiative. Bristol generously provided some colorful pawprints on everyone's sheet, as they were then instructed to turn it into an artistic masterpiece! Our "artists" had such a fun time sharing some laughs and showing off their creative sides, all while enjoying some tasty mocktails. Well done everyone! 😁

  • Another UMC University Showcase! 🎓 This week, our talented host (and Bishop Taylor Housing Administrator) Tanya Preston is joined by UMC's Corporate Director of Compliance & Risk Management, Marlene Baldinger! Marlene most recently served as an instructor at this past June's #UMCUniversity learning session, as she offered some wonderful insight on her duties and responsibilities and the role she plays to the entire organization. Our teammates had the opportunity to engage in Marlene's dynamic presentation, which offered some helpful tips and tidbits for all of our attending "students." Check it out! 😊
