Thank you to our exceptional staff for ensuring every birth is special and to our community for placing their trust in us during such meaningful moments.

After 25 years of dedicated service as a cardiac sonographer, Gary Mileski is retiring from UNC Health Johnston. 🎉 His department surprised him with a luncheon, where they gifted him a bench for his pond. Please join us in congratulating Rhonda Manning from the Smithfield emergency department for becoming the first nurse at UNC Health Johnston to earn the Advanced Stroke Life Support certification! This 8-hour course equips health care professionals with essential skills in recognizing, assessing, and managing acute stroke patients. We're proud of Rhonda for taking the initiative to pursue this valuable training and further enhance the expertise and quality of care we provide to patients in our community.

In honor of #NationalNonprofitDay tomorrow, we’re spotlighting the Johnston Health Foundation and the care it has granted many in our community during the last 30 years. Through its various events, campaigns and programs, the foundation bridges the gap for greater access to quality care so that more people in Johnston County can receive treatment.

We are excited to celebrate Denise Evans as our Ambassador of the Month! 🌟 As an MRI technologist with us since 2013, Denise has consistently demonstrated her commitment to patient care. Our CEO, Tom Williams, admires her ability to make patients feel comfortable during their procedures, saying, “She takes the time to ensure they’re OK. Her smile and enthusiasm show just how much she loves her work.” Denise’s journey began with 20 years as an X-ray tech working alongside an orthopedic surgeon, before returning to school to earn her diploma in magnetic resonance imaging. Throughout her career, she has valued the connections she’s made. “I love my patients, and I enjoy the camaraderie with my teammates,” she says. “I try to look out for everyone.” We are proud to have Denise on our team.
