We are thrilled to announce that the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (HPDP) has received a five-year renewal grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, ensuring our continued status as a CDC Prevention Research Center (PRC). This grant strengthens our infrastructure and commitment to addressing health disparities through community-engaged prevention research. Our core research project will focus on scaling up Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) programs, particularly for those at highest risk, including people of color, individuals with lower incomes, and residents in rural areas. With this grant, HPDP remains the only center in the country to have been continuously funded as a CDC PRC since 1986.
