Pastor John Unthank served with Community Schools for almost 10 years before his passing this summer. Known to many students and teachers as Mr. Crayola, he gave back by dressing up as a crayon and reading to students, donating school supplies to teachers and writing encouraging notes to school staff and educators. In memory of his incredible service, Community Schools has donated a copy of the children's book "The Day the Crayons Quit" to each Community School.

The Asian Culture Center of Tennessee is seeking volunteers for the annual Knox Asian Festival on September 7-8! The festival brings together people from different cultural backgrounds to enjoy unique music, dances, food, fashion, crafts and more.
