New surgical technology overseen my Marklyn Jones, MD, senior instructor at the CU Division of Urology, allows for only one incision to be made during surgery, shortening recovery time, reducing the need for painkillers and helping patients get home faster. “'Patients are elated knowing they may be able to go home the same day of surgery and sleep in their own bed,' he says. 'I've also seen that when single-port patients wake up in the recovery room, they have much less abdominal pain and pressure in the abdomen compared to the multiport cases.'” Read more at the link below:
