Congratulations to 2024 Sport and Entertainment Management alum Wil Fisackerly, Ph.D. on being nominated as a finalist for the National Association of Collegiate Esports 2024 Scholar of the Year award!

Not all the winners in Omaha were Volunteers! HRSM Master of Sport and Entertainment Management student Katie Adams gained valuable on the job experience as an intern at the NCAA Baseball College World Series. Katie worked 15 games in 11 days at the Greatest Show on Dirt in a variety of roles including game presentation and on-site activations for community engagement, hosting duties in the Diesing Hospitality Room and communication with season ticket holders in regards to ticketing and parking.

We're so proud of Sport and Entertainment Management major Mekhi Gibson! Mekhi was one of only 24 outstanding students from all over the country selected for the United States Golf Association (USGA) Pathways Internship at the U.S. Open Championship. “Relationships are built and fostered on-site at championships, and the framework we’ve created with the Pathways Internship allows students to get that same opportunity, which can help to jumpstart their careers,” says USGA CEO Mike Whan.
