🚨 Huge congratulations to Applied Carbon (formerly Climate Robotics, C08) on their incredible $21.5 million Series A funding! 🎉 The startup's cutting-edge in-field pyrolyzer technology transforms agricultural crop waste into high-quality biochar, providing durable carbon removal while also boosting soil health, with the potential to lock away up to 2 billion metric tons of carbon annually, according to TechCrunch. “To get to gigaton scale, we would need thousands of tractor operators in the field doing this, and that’s just not really scalable,” said Jason Aramburu. “We don’t want to be a fleet. We want to be more like a John Deere.”

That's a wrap on MTTS '24! 👋 After our final rally in Yakima, Washington, we concluded our incredible journey in Seattle - passing the breathtaking Mt. Rainier along the way. We celebrated this amazing trip with an evening at the Museum of Flight. Another day, another recap! 📍 Bozeman, Montana  ➡️  Missoula, Montana. The Big Sky State did not disappoint. We spent an incredible morning at the Hardscrabble Ranch just outside of Bozeman. Horses, mules, and cowboys all in attendance. On our way to Missoula, we stopped in Helena, the state capital. Unfortunately, the surrounding forests have been battling wildfires, and the damage is visible along the route. As the Earth continues to heat up, natural disasters are becoming more frequent. URBAN-X alumni 3AM Innovations Inc. (C06) develops situational tracking for emergencies, such as wildfires, to enhance on-scene awareness for first responders. While preventive measures are crucial, efficient response is key to a better future. HUGE congratulations to itselectric for their $6.5M seed round. 🎉 👏 The raise, led by Failup Ventures and Uber intends to accelerate curbside EV charging in cities across the U.S. With the new funding, itselectric will make curbside charging deployments across seven cities in the United States in 2024, including Boston, Los Angeles, Detroit, Jersey City, and San Francisco. , The growth of itselectric's curbside charging infrastructure will help support Uber's goal of helping rideshare drivers go electric and reaching zero-emissions by 2040.
