The study explores how Apple's ResearchKit & CareKit UIs can be adapted with minimal changes to meet the needs of older and rural cancer patients. Professor Lindsay Young has presented groundbreaking research on social media discourse surrounding fatal violence against the Black transgender community. Traditional news often overlooks these tragedies, treating them as isolated incidents. By analyzing 624 tweets, Dr. Young et al. identified 16 key themes across 4 clusters: victims, responses, positioning & framing, and roots & causes. This study highlights the power of social media to capture real-time sentiment and inform more responsive policies.
