Offstream (YC S24) is streamlining carbon compliance for project developers, enabling them to launch and scale their operations with peace of mind. Today, $2T flows into decarbonization projects each year, funding new projects across carbon removals, clean energy, alternative fuels, and more. Every new infrastructure project has carbon compliance requirements that are mission-critical but manual, time-consuming, and hard to understand. Offstream is a one-stop shop for carbon compliance, starting with software that helps carbon project developers get compliant and stay compliant with regulatory and voluntary market compliance standards. They produce 3rd party compliant documents (e.g., LCAs, monitoring reports) that developers need to submit to agencies like the Department of Energy, IRS, and Puro.earth at a fraction of the price and time of alternatives. Founders Varsha Ramesh Walsh and Zach Janicki are committed to solving the climate crisis by unblocking the biggest bottleneck in carbon project development.
