#DYK? The #SpaceForce branch may be only in its 5th year, but our Nation’s leadership in space dates back more than half a century! Museum Director of the Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum, Jamie Draper introduces us to the first communications satellite ever launched by the United States, back in 1958. With the 70th anniversary of the Western Development Division and the 3rd anniversary of Space Systems Command this summer, we’re celebrating a long legacy of protecting our Nation’s interests in, from, and to space.
