On this World Mental Health Day, we recognize the far-reaching impact of mental health challenges and acknowledge that mental health is a universal human right. Here are a few things to remember and some actions we can each adopt to help address mental health challenges: 1. It's okay to not be okay sometimes, and seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. 2. A simple "How are you feeling?" can make a world of difference. 3. It's more than okay to prioritize your own well-being. It’s vital. 4. We have work to do to reduce the continued stigma surrounding mental health. Share your own experiences or offer an empathetic ear to others. 5. Even in 2023, it’s still not easy to get affordable care. Advocate for effective and accessible mental health resources and support. Everyone should have access to the care they need in the form that they need it. Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges. Spread the message by using #WorldMentalHealthDay.
