It's official - Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome announced the 2024 Neighborhood Convention today that will take place September 14 at the Raising Cane's River Center - ASM Global! The convention will bring together hundreds of neighborhood leaders and residents, business owners, city-parish department heads, public safety leaders, and youth from across the parish for a day of sharing tools and best practices needed to build strong, connected neighborhoods. 💡 Goals for the 2024 Neighborhood Convention include: - Equipping attendees with essential tools and info to enhance their neighborhoods - Explore innovative approaches to strengthen neighborhood identity and foster a sense of belonging among residents - Provide methods to document and celebrate the rich heritage and narratives of local communities And more! The 8th Annual Marucci World Series is happening in Baton Rouge this week! 🧢⚾️ Showcasing some of the best amateur baseball tournament play in the nation, this year’s event will feature over 100 teams from across the U.S. and South Korea, competing in the 14U through 17U divisions. We anticipate around 10,000 attendees this year. We kicked off the week yesterday with the Marucci Brand Experience, where coaches, athletes, and families got to preview and test new products, play tailgate games, and enjoy delicious offerings from food trucks. Games start today and continue through Friday. #ExploreBatonRouge
