We’re building brighter futures, and construction is officially underway. 🚧 Thanks to the incredible generosity of The Donald and Mary Kosch Foundation, our new pavilion will soon be the heart of our campus. Located centrally, this vibrant outdoor space will be for everyone – whether it’s for joyful family BBQs, rejuvenating staff breaks or fun outdoor programs for our youth. Stay tuned to see the progress!

Do you remember walking into your first day of school? Your thoughtfully selected outfit and combed hair; the buzz and excitement of seeing old friends and meeting new teachers; and of course, a backpack filled with school supplies. For many of the young people living at Vista Maria, their memories are different. Coming to us after trauma, loss, and neglect, school supplies weren’t part of the equation. Academic success felt out of the question. With your support, however, we can change that. With a $100 donation, you can provide a student with a fully stocked backpack that includes a calculator, notebooks, pens and pencils with a case, binders, art supplies, and the backpack itself. To donate now, please visit: https://ow.ly/IxN050SRsyY.

Our friends at Lace Up Detroit recently partnered with WDIV Local 4 News/ClickOnDetroit to help students start the school year on the right foot—literally. Thanks to the generosity of Local 4 viewers, 3,100 pairs of shoes were donated. These new shoes play a crucial role in helping the youth at Vista Maria gain confidence and feel ready to tackle the school year ahead. We were thrilled to be featured in the Local 4 Detroit segment, which not only highlights the incredible efforts of Lace Up Detroit, but also showcases the significant impact these contributions have on youth at Vista Maria. Did you know Vista Maria – Michigan's premier child welfare agency for youth and their families – has its own school? All residents in our mental health treatment programs attend Clara B. Ford Academy, which provides year-round junior and high school education and academic services. Here, we also strive to teach students self-regulation and social skills to help them understand their emotions, make responsible choices, and build positive relationships with others. Join us in supporting these incredible individuals by donating to our “Pack Their Packs” fundraiser. To help provide the essential school supplies that will empower them to thrive in their educational journey, please visit https://ow.ly/JmZI50SRsuG.
