I had a great experience attending the HCBS2024 conference hosted by @AdvancingStates. Despite a tight schedule, it was definitely worth my time. Unlike other academic conferences, this one uniquely brings together state, federal, and local policymakers, along with leaders who manage and deliver HCBS programs. I left feeling energized by the innovative work states are doing to enhance #HCBS and how researchers can make their findings more impactful for service users and providers. I was particularly excited to be involved in presenting findings using @NCI-AD data wit partners ADvancing States & Human Services Research Institute and the MN Assisted Living report card in partnership with Minnesota Department of Human Services & Vital Research. The energy and engagement were fantastic—I hope to be back next year! We are excited to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the conference and continue to improve the quality of long-term services and supports (LTSS) for people of all ages and abilities. Vital is excited to share the report release for the National Core Indicators Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) In-Person Survey (IPS) 2022-2023 national report. Vital had the pleasure of partnering with several state agencies for data collection, giving voice to over two thousand service recipients across five states during the survey cycle.

Vital is proud to announce we are part of a master contract through the Minnesota Management and Budget's Management Analysis and Development (MAD) External Vendor Partner Program. We are busy uploading person-driven, outcomes-oriented data from five statewide National Core Indicators (NCI) data collection efforts. Vital completed 3,320 interviews with people with intellectual or developmental disability as well as older adults and adults who have a physical disability across four states. This work elevates the perspectives of these populations so state agencies can best support quality of life. Go team!
