Our team had a blast at this week’s 2024 ITE Western District Annual Meeting in Sacramento, which spanned four days and covered a wide variety of transportation topics like roadway design, transportation planning and parking, equity, and more, including Erik Ruehr's SB 743 Update presentation including lawsuits and other hot topics. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth to try their hand at putting and to chat with Jason Vivian, Ryan Vivian and Michael Gallanosa about the services we provide and the ways we can help push your projects forward. We're looking forward to next year’s meeting in Long Beach! #VRPATechnologies #transportation #engineering

Our President, Georgiena Vivian, recently presented to the Sanger and Reedley Rotaries about transportation planning and financing in Fresno County! We covered everything from Federal to local levels, emphasizing the importance of being a Self Help County and the benefits of Measure C on our transportation system. The Rotarians asked great questions, making it a very engaging session. Special thanks to Lee Delap for the invite and it was wonderful to see Nicole Zieba, Rodney Horton, and other amazing Rotarians! And, of course, the lunches were excellent! 👏 #TransportationPlanning #MeasureC #FresnoCounty #RotaryClub #CommunityEngagement

Civil Engineering Project Highlight: a 56-ft by 19-ft clear-span precast/prestressed concrete voided slab bridge with a cast-in-place reinforced concrete deck over Capinero Creek, near Pine Flat, California. Managed by our team member, Jason Vivian, when he was previously working at the County of Tulare, the project spanned from selection and funding allocation through design and oversight of the Project Development Team. Key achievements include: - Collaborating with Pine Flat residents to establish alternative access routes. - Conducting constructability reviews to minimize maintenance. - Coordinating with utility companies for expedited relocations. - Providing regular updates and design explanations to property owners for seamless easement acquisition. This bridge, which replaces one washed out by atmospheric rivers in March 2023, was completed in just over a year by May 2024. #Infrastructure #CivilEngineering #CommunityEngagement #bridges
