About us

In 1968, Walter T. Rich founded W.T. Rich Company to provide construction services throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Established on the cornerstones of honesty, transparency and integrity, W.T. Rich began its corporate life providing strictly general contracting services. Our reputation for always putting the owner first quickly spread, and our capabilities as a firm simultaneously took flight. In 2003, Jonathan Rich, Walter’s son and the firm’s CEO, and Brian Santos, President, took the strong foundation Walter created and catapulted the company into a new, modernized dimension. Today, W.T. Rich serves as a leader in delivering MGL Chapter 149A projects with an outstanding track record across multiple sectors, including K-12 schools, higher education, public safety, municipal, historic restoration, and life sciences. Our commitment to operating under the same principles on which we were founded has earned us an admirable reputation among owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Our Vision: To be the best Construction Manager in the Massachusetts Public Building Sector. We will accomplish this by delivering exceptional construction management services, consistently exceeding expectations, and setting new standards in safety, quality, customer satisfaction and employee engagement.

How do you temporarily relocate an entire fire department, its equipment, and operations? By partnering with the best to make the seemingly impossible, possible. W.T. Rich Company joined forces with EXTREME Modular Buildings from Alberta, Canada, to transport an incredible 220 tons of state-of-the-art modular buildings. These four custom-designed structures cater to every need of the Cambridge Fire Department, ensuring seamless operations during the two-year renovation of the CFD Headquarters. Now, Engine 1, Ladder 1, and Rescue 1 firefighters are working out of these heavy-duty buildings, thanks to the unparalleled coordination, planning, and teamwork of the CFD team and Extreme Modular Buildings. A huge shoutout to Stream Logistics for capturing this remarkable project on video. Watch it to witness the power of collaboration in action: https://lnkd.in/gHK3XDaS

Today, we take a moment to reflect on the significance of Juneteenth, which marks the emancipation of the last enslaved African Americans in the United States in 1865. It stands as a powerful reminder of the journey toward freedom and equality. At W.T. Rich Company, we honor this day by reaffirming our commitment to justice, equality, and inclusivity for all. Our office will be closed in observance of the holiday, and we encourage everyone to take this time to reflect and celebrate. Thank you to our dedicated team for making W.T. Rich Company a place where everyone can thrive and grow together.
