Great week connecting with the future of Pharmacy!
Had an amazing week in Georgia and Alabama visiting with Walmart Health & Wellness Region 14 for an incredible pharmacy intern summit. It was a great SOP refresher course and gave us the opportunity to connect with these impressive future pharmacists. Thank you Christopher Handley PharmD Robin Bellomy Leah Pierce and Candice Osborne for your leadership and for making this meeting possible! We also had the pleasure of visiting with Dean Pamela Moye at Mercer University, and Dean Leigh Ann Ross and Kori Caldwell at Auburn University. Some milestones just mean more. I just found out about Donny’s journey at Walmart, which hits 30 years this week. Simply incredible. Donny is the pharmacy manager at our store in Burleson, Texas. He started with us just down the road in Cleburne, Texas. He shared that some of the most impactful moments of his career have been the connections he’s developed with customers and patients. Back in the 90s, he remembers assisting several customers from a local retirement center and built enduring relationships with them all. Donny is so complimentary of the talented team that surrounds him. He’s a servant leader whom we are fortunate to have on our team. In fact, he’s one of 27 pharmacists in Texas who have been with us for 30 years or more! Congrats on 30 years, Donny!
