Did you know that placing service dogs with Veterans is only a part of WCC's mission? WCC utilizes an animal-assisted therapy during the training of the dogs called Mission Based Trauma Recovery, or MBTR. You can learn more about MBTR and how it helps Veterans this Saturday at the Frederick County Veterans Appreciation Day! WCC will be in attendance, so for those Veterans in the area, you can learn more about MBTR and WCC's No-Fail Mission! You can also learn more about MBTR here: https://lnkd.in/eGH5mSrK #FurTheLoveOfVeterans #MBTR

About us
Warrior Canine Connection (WCC) is a pioneering organization that utilizes its Mission Based Trauma Recovery (MBTR) model to support recovering combat Veterans and their families. WCC provides Warriors a regained sense of purpose through the opportunity to engage in a critical military support mission while simultaneously receiving treatment for their own symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI). Based on the time-honored tradition of Warriors helping Warriors, their mission is to train highly-skilled service dogs that provide years of mobility and social support to Veterans with disabilities.

Please join us in welcoming WCC’s JoJo Named in honor of United States Army Chief Warrant Officer 3 Joanne Boucher (Ret.) United States Army Chief Warrant Officer Three Joanne Boucher had not planned to join the military. Her best friend was joining and needed a ride. While at the recruiting office, the Army recruiter asked CW3 Boucher to take the test for joining to which Joanne said that if she joined, she would go to the Air Force. However, the recruiter and her best friend convinced her to join the Army instead on the Buddy Program. CW3 Boucher went through Tactical Communications Security Equipment Repairer training. Her first assignment was in Korea, followed by her second assignment in Germany. She returned to the US after 6 years on active duty to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. While there, she applied to become a Signal Warrant Officer. Just shy of 10 years on active duty, she obtained the rank of Warrant Officer One. CW3 Boucher’s first assignment as a Warrant Officer was in Heidelberg, Germany where she worked for 8 years. While in Heidelberg, she met and married her husband and had two daughters. She returned to the US for training in Fort Gordon, Georgia, and then to her final assignment at Fort Meade, Maryland. She retired after 20 years, 4 months, and 3 days on active duty with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer Three. It is with tremendous pride that we name WCC’s JoJo in honor of United States Army Chief Warrant Officer 3 Joanne Boucher (Ret.) #FurTheLoveOfVeterans #WCCsJoJo
