WQA is marking its 50th anniversary by looking back at some memorable podcasts: This week it's our October 2018 conversation with Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, the pediatrician who helped bring to light the lead crisis in Flint, MI. She discusses how she was able to detect the elevated lead levels in the blood of children in Flint, leading her to conclude that the public drinking water was the problem. In 2022, WQA’s Clean Water for All initiative was introduced in both the U.S. Senate and House as the Healthy H20 Act, designed to help rural and disadvantaged communities pay for point-of-use and point-of-entry water treatment products. This year, the Act is included in the frameworks for the Farm Bill put forth by both the Senate Democrats and Senate Republicans. 🤞 #WQAWednesday #50Years
