WRA promotes the science-based management of water resources within the Delaware River Basin to protect all water dependent uses and enhance the long-term sustainability and resiliency of the river system. To achieve this WRA: • Represents the needs and interests of water users of the Delaware River Basin in multi-stakeholder initiatives and with regulatory agencies • Advances principles of comprehensive water resources planning based on sound science and policy • Promotes a balanced approach that recognizes the economic, social, and environmental importance of the Basin’s water resources How WRA works: WRA serves as a critical resource to its members - water professionals; water purveyors; and commercial, industrial and maritime river users – as they collaborate with other stakeholders to maintain the Delaware River as a working river and promote principles of sustainability and resiliency. WRA’s efforts have become even more important recognizing the fiscal challenges faced by regulatory agencies in the region, and the acute need to respond to climate change related impacts in a manner that will maintain and expand the multi-dimensional values of the Delaware River watershed. www.wradrb.org

Coming soon in 2025! The American Water Charitable Foundation is excited to share an update from a Water and Environment grantee, Upstream Alliance, who is adding a 49-foot solar-electric education vessel to its fleet. The vessel, currently under construction, will serve as a floating classroom, providing on-the-water educational experiences for students in Camden, NJ. The River Reporter's Tony Bpnavist tells the story about the fortuitous link between our water supply and angling in the Delaware River Basin - ramblings of a catskill fly fisher - The vast New York City water supply system "Without this vast network of reservoirs and cold-water streams, one has to wonder what kind of angling opportunities there would be in the Catskills and in Westchester and Putnam counties without the New York City reservoir system. Keep in mind that there is very little ponded water in the Catskills, and freestone steams get very low and warm during the summer. Therefore angling opportunities would be limited at best. The same can be said for the east side of the Hudson River. In addition to providing drinking water for New York City, the reservoir system provides unlimited angling opportunities and other activities for thousands of people, all within 100 miles of Manhattan." Eau Claire has begun a four-year, $20 million project to eliminate 100% of PFAS from the city’s wells. The project, supported by over $6 million in federal grants and a loan from the Wisconsin DNR, involves building a new PFAS removal facility at the Water Treatment Plant. Once PFAS is removed from a site, Onvector’s Plasma Vortex destruction technology can be used to destroy the PFAS to meet regulatory limits. Visit onvector.us to learn more. Since 2016, Aqua has proudly supported Villanova University's Engineering Service Learning program, where our employee volunteers mentor students as they develop real-world solutions to improve #infrastructure globally. With support from the Essential Foundation, Aqua mentors Bill Gordon, Lizzy Loughnane, EIT, and Amanda Obosnenko recently joined a team of students on a trip to Madagascar to collaborate with local communities on enhancing water systems and identifying new water sources. This hands-on experience highlighted the importance of the work our team does daily to protect and provide Earth’s most essential resource, and how important it is to continue mentoring future water innovators. #WaterQuality #CommunityPartners
