Today is National PTSD Awareness Day. Did you know that the entire month of June is dedicated to recognizing and acknowledging the impact of PTSD? Military personnel and veterans are at the highest risk to develop PTSD compared to any other group. Military personnel that are deployed are also 3x more likely to develop PTSD than those that have not been deployed. According to the National Center for PTSD , a program of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, about six out of every 100 people will experience PTSD at some point in their lives.
