Take it from our creative director, Jacob Hovanec: Your brand should signal where you are today, not just where you were when you started. Because your brand is a living entity that grows as your business grows. And that's why we're rebranding. We're proud of what we've accomplished over the last 15 years, and we're excited for the future. Follow this page to watch our real-time rebranding transformation!

At Zen Media, we're not just talking about change—we're living it. As we undergo our own rebranding journey, I'm reminded of a crucial truth in our industry: Brands must evolve to stay relevant. Here's what I've learned throughout this process: 1. Your brand should reflect your current identity, not just your history. 2. A refresh can reinvigorate your message without losing your essence. 3. Adaptation is key in a rapidly changing market. Our rebranding at Zen isn't just about a new logo or color scheme; it's about aligning our outward appearance with our inner growth and vision for the future. Remember: Your brand is a living entity. It should grow as you do. When was the last time you evaluated your brand’s identity? If it's been a while, maybe it's time for Zen Media to give it a refresh.

We're embracing the shift from polished corporate content to genuine, employee-focused narratives. It's not just about humanizing our brand – it's about showcasing the brilliant minds that make Zen Media unique.

We’re a marketing agency ✨ of course ✨ we’re going to start making TikToks! Do you even have a social team in 2024 if you aren’t making the sales guy share his OOTD between calls? 🤷♀️ At Zen Media we’re making a radical shift: ditching those boring corporate posts and going all-in on EGC (Employee Generated Content, obv.) Why? Simple: 1️⃣ Personify your brand. Do you see how I posted my boss? It’s very demure, very mindful. I’m very social when I’m creating content. 2️⃣ It’s noisy out there! If your channels are working together the right way, your audience will see your message as they enter your funnel. Social just gets them through the front door. 3️⃣ Every employee is a potential influencer. People trust faces, not logos and it’s people, like Scott, who make your company unique. 😉 So from today - I'm pushing my team to share their real experiences, challenges, and victories on social. It's not always polished or viral, but it's very genuine – and that's what audiences crave. Want to really know the creative minds at Zen? Follow us here on LinkedIn and TikTok👇

This is the number one question I get when I speak: (Audiences vary but everyone is curious about this!) ↳ What’s next? Specificallly, what’s the next big platform? Here’s the thing. It doesn’t matter. What we do know is that people are now the media and that’s never going to change. Good leaders know this. Great leaders leverage this. Found this useful? Repost for your network. ♻️ #linkedinvideo

While AI is a powerful ally, human-driven strategy is irreplaceable. For complex B2B products and discerning audiences, marketing requires leveraging deep industry knowledge and creativity that AI can’t replicate. The balance of human insight into your brand, along with AI capabilities, will drive impactful B2B marketing strategies. Don’t settle for mimicry. #B2bMarketing #AI #Technology #Marketing

Here’s a marketing trend you should NOT follow: Mimicry > creativity. And, you guessed it, it’s all based on a misuse of AI.   There is no doubt that a lot can be accomplished with generative AI. It would be foolish to ignore this fact or try to downplay it. But you cannot market to a highly discerning audience with AI-generated content. Here’s why: AI mimics human intelligence and creativity. Marketing based on mimicry will never be specific, detailed, or creative enough to make your brand stand out. Those who cannot create, mimic. AI is void of taste. ChatGPT and Claude will follow your directions, they can learn from your examples, and they do a relatively good job—but if you don’t know what makes “good” marketing, it doesn’t matter. Do you trust your taste? Do you trust your team’s? If you’re selling a simple product at a low price point to a receptive audience, you can probably do a lot with AI. If your product is complex (think highly technical or niche) and your audience is highly discerning (think high price points and B2B), mimicry just won’t cut it. #AI #Marketing #B2BMarketing

Ugh, fine. My team doesn’t think I talk enough about what we do, so I made them a deal. 😏 I’ll talk about how we do awesome GTM playbooks for clients where we deep dive into every area of their marketing and unveil juicy low hanging fruit IF…they made me a checklist to give away so you can do this yourself if you like. 😬 I’ll DM you if you leave a comment telling my team at Zen Media they are awesome. Because, they are. Some of the components of the playbook: - Voice, identity, and messaging - SEO - Social Media - Email Marketing - Thought Leadership

Dark social is reshaping engagement. 📲 Dark social—or the shares, conversations, and reactions that take place through back channels—is on the rise, and marketers need to learn what that means for their campaigns. Our founder and CEO, Shama Hyder, explained the rise of dark social in an interview with MarTech: “You see now that people consume publicly, but we share privately. The number one app for anybody is a messaging app. Communities are big. Reddit is big. You know, Discord is big. The way you adapt is you learn to influence. That’s the same thing as your great content that people would want to share before. You have to know that you won’t have access to those conversations.” For B2Bs, this means bringing in an agency that understands dark social and wields it as a secret weapon to put you ahead of the competition. Zen Media actively monitors and tracks dark social, providing your B2B with valuable insights into your audience’s behaviors and preferences to craft a winning content marketing strategy. As I keynote around the world, I often discuss AI, but not from a technical standpoint. Instead, I focus on a critical question keeping most leaders up at night: 👉🏼 How do we compete in an AI-driven world? What I want to talk about is YOU and how you'll compete and thrive in a world transformed by AI. Because here's the truth: the focus shouldn't be on which tasks AI will automate (let's be honest, it'll be a lot). The real question is: When AI handles the rote and repetitive, how will YOU leverage that to propel your strategic and creative thinking to new heights? Imagine a future where AI frees you from the mundane, empowering you to focus on unprecedented strategic thinking and unleash your creative potential. It's time to redefine what it means to be irreplaceable in the age of AI. #AI #Leadership #StrategicThinking #FutureofWork #Innovation #KeynoteSpeaker #LinkedinVideo

This one fact should change EVERYTHING about how you look at marketing. I've been sharing it with audiences on stages across 24 countries now. We consume publicly but we share privately. This is the rise of dark social. #darksocial #marketing #keynotespeaker #futureofwork #linkedinvideo #bestadvice

4 goal-setting "secrets" I discovered this year: (based on recent PwC research and real-world examples) 1. Daily goal-setting boosts overall performance ↳ 10% faster ticket clearing in tech support teams My take? Small wins compound. When you tackle bite-sized goals daily, you're actually chipping away at larger objectives. 2. Public recognition supercharges mood ↳ 59% more likely to record positive mood when sharing successes Explanation? Psychology shows we're wired for social validation. On teams, celebrating each other's wins creates a positive feedback loop. 3. Specific language in goals drives results ↳ 12% more customer leads when using precise terms My guess? Vague goals lead to vague actions. When you clearly define what you're after, your brain knows exactly what to focus on. 4. Leader behavior sets the tone ↳ Employee goal-setting mirrors executive practices Personal observation: Teams adopt the habits they see modeled. When leaders actively set and share goals, it becomes part of the culture. Bonus: AI can personalize goal-setting guidance. My prediction: As AI becomes more sophisticated, it'll help tailor goals to individual strengths and preferences, boosting engagement. Found this valuable? Share with your network to help them succeed. ♻️ ( See what I did there? That’s #2 and#4  above in action!) P.S. Which of these goal-setting insights surprised you the most?
