Game-Changing Technology Breakthrough to Cure Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) The History of HeartWorks with Dr. Tim Nelson, MD/PhD Check out Episode 1 of this 3-part series with my good friend Tim Nelson, the Founder & CEO of HeartWorks, as we dive into Tim's personal and professional background that led to his undeterred lifelong passion to find a cure for CHD through this groundbreaking biomedical approach. Born out of Tim's work at the Mayo Clinic and the Todd and Karen Wanek Family Program for Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, and with a "Team of Teams" approach, a for-profit entity (REGEN THERANOSTICS INC) to provide the manufacturing to help sustain the nonprofit biomedical cutting-edge research, HeartWorks builds hearts out of patients' skin cells. I especially enjoyed learning about Tim's close relationship and partnership working with his brother Matt Nelson and his mentorship lessons that he learned from his grandfather Noble Kleven.
