Women in Business at Penn State is excited and honored to announce its latest initiative: the "40k in 40 Days Challenge." I invite you to join us in making a significant impact in the fight against childhood cancer. Each year, Penn State Women in Business partners with THON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, to raise funds for pediatric cancer research and support for affected families. This year, our goal is to raise $40,000 in just 40 days. This challenge is not just a number; it represents hope, life-changing research, and crucial support for those battling cancer. Your contribution, no matter the size, will directly impact the lives of children and families affected by cancer. Your support fuels research, provides medical assistance, and offers a glimmer of hope in what can be an incredibly challenging journey. Share this post, inform your network about our cause, and let's create a groundswell of support together. Thank you for considering our cause. I invite you to stand with us, to be a part of something meaningful, and to help us reach our goal. Together, we can make a profound impact in the fight against childhood cancer. About us
Penn State Women in Business was founded in 1997 and is a professional development organization at the Smeal College of Business. We accept all students and provide them with opportunities to connect with professionals through our events and network. Find out more information about our organization on our website. We operate under our four pillars: leadership, community service, networking, and professional development. Women in Business encourages all of our members to pursue leadership positions, for we know that we are a group of leaders of tomorrow. We hold ourselves to the highest academic, professional, and ethical standards to ensure quality leadership. WIB works to give back to the State College community through local philanthropic activities, participation in THON, and engaging with the community’s youth through WIB’s annual development workshop and gala event, The Power of Us. Networking works to make a large university and larger corporate world more manageable for our members. We provide the opportunity for members to network with other students, Smeal faculty, the local community, and corporate partners. The Executive Board creates a plethora of opportunities for members to learn and develop professional skills through corporate events hosted by Women in Business. Communicating with corporate sponsors has led to internship opportunities and has fostered mentorship.
