North Korea's Cyber Arsenal Expands: New Ransomware Threat A North Korean hacking group, known for espionage, is now targeting money with ransomware attacks. Mandiant has identified this group as APT45, also called Andariel, Nickel Hyatt, Onyx Sleet, Silent Chollima, or Stonefly. Active since 2009, APT45 has primarily focused on critical infrastructure. This group is part of North Korea's Reconnaissance General Bureau, alongside notorious hackers like APT38, APT43, and Lazarus Group.
