Today, WMCA's Road Team Captain Jeremiah Wickersham from Kwik Trip, Inc. partnered with the Wisconsin State Patrol for the "Trooper in a Truck" event in Hudson, WI. It's part of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance's Operation Safe Driver Week. The annual enforcement and educational campaign targets unsafe driving behaviors to combat the number of deaths and injuries from crashes. From the higher vantage point of Jeremiah's truck, the trooper can keep an eye out for motor vehicle safety violations. Once the officer spots a violation, they radio patrol cars in the area for appropriate enforcement action. Thank you to the Wisconsin State Patrol for partnering with us for this week-long campaign to put a stop to unsafe driving on Wisconsin roads.
