📣 Event Opportunity! WAEE (Wisconsin Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers) invites you to join them on September 25th to learn all about the City of Madison’s sustainable fleet!
The WAEE's next event is in Madison on September 25 - register via the link below before it's too late! Attendees will learn about Madison's EV Fleet. We'll also gain insights on the City's facility at 4151 Nakoosa Trail, which is home to its Fleet and Radio Communications operations. With features that include 248 rooftop solar panels (with over 500 more currently being installed), plus solar EV charging, a solar heating wall, fleet EV charging, public EV charging, and employee EV charging - it's the first municipal auto garage in America to achieve LEED GOLD certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Beyond obtaining this LEED certification, the City has placed into service the nation's first electric fire truck, has installed over 1,000 soybean oil tires, and runs one of the largest fleet biodiesel programs in America! Prior to the event, a WAEE Board of Directors meeting will be held at 1030.
