What is Executive Presence? Last night Anne Erni explored the topic at our Ment-Mix sharing how gravitas, communication, and appearance are core components with gravitas at the heart of the matter. Thank you Anne for sharing this research and guidance on how to harness your EP while avoiding blunders. We learned and we laughed. Thank you to our Platinum Sponsor Warburg Pincus LLC for hosting in your beautiful office. #WIA #Mentoring

How has investing in your network benefitted your career? Last night Jeannie Diefenderfer, NACD.DC, Carol Hochman, and Deepa Gandhi shared stories about how they have built supportive, meaningful networks throughout their careers, even when they had no time. Moderated masterfully by Angelique Jurgill, they shared extraordinarily helpful and actionable advice with a healthy dose of humor. Thank you to our panel and a huge thank you to Covington & Burling LLP for hosting. #wia #mentoring #networking #womensleadership

This past weekend 60 WIA women came together to learn, connect, and have fun at our retreat. Highlights included a thought-provoking panel led by Naomi Goldstein-Campos, MBA on pivotal moments featuring Yvette Burton, Ph.D., Jhan D. Doughty, Julia Hanft, and Tina Naser; a bowling tournament won by Colette Lelchuk; a happy hour hosted by Edrington and Valerie Marks where we sampled No. 3 Gin and Noble Oak Bourbon; a candid "Fireside Chat" led by our board leaders Kelly Watson and Jeannie Diefenderfer, NACD.DC and beautiful swag bags courtesy of Deepa Gandhi and Dagne Dover. As usual, being together was soul-satisfying and inspiring. Thank you to everyone who joined us.
