Our Atlanta office hosted our 2nd annual "Bring Your Child to Work Day" this summer! Associates brought their children in to learn about what we do on a daily basis through hands-on activities and a whole lot of fun! Activities included build your own apartment community, Kids' choice voting for favorite apartment community, hidden picture/find the difference, face painting, games around the office, and a magic show grand finale! The kids had a blast learning about what their parents do in a unique and fun way. It is always a great time to see our family environment core value being lived out. Wood Partners is proud to announce the official groundbreaking of its latest community, Alta Westover Hills. Located on the west side of San Antonio at 10718 State Highway 151, Alta Westover Hills provides strong regional accessibility with immediate access to SH 151 and Loop 1604. The company will remain a national leader in multifamily development across 15 offices, and we expect to start more than 5,000 units in 2024.

Wood Partners announces the start of construction on Alta Dove Valley in Phoenix and Alta 87 in Gilbert, Arizona. These new communities bolster Wood Partners’ presence in Arizona, bringing its total to 24 starts in the state since the Great Financial Crisis. “Phoenix has, and continues to, experience significant in-migration due to its favorable climate and thriving and increasingly dynamic economy,” said Todd Taylor, Managing Director for Wood Partners. “There is a significant housing shortage in the MSA and we will need many thousands of units over the coming years to solve it. Wood Partners announces the start of construction of Altera Union City near Atlanta and Altera Land O’ Lakes near Tampa, Florida. The multifamily communities are part of the firm’s Altera brand, a new attainable housing initiative offering upscale living at cost-effective rates. Altera communities are built with upscale finishes such as granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and top-of-the line amenities. The developer saves on costs by selecting well-located suburban sites rather than more expensive urban locations, executing an efficient and consistent design and embracing minimal, yet well-done, landscaping.
