"When successful #immigrant integration is a goal for many municipalities, the degree to which immigrants have the sense of belonging is becoming a major policy issue," said Arati Maleku, PhD of the Ohio State College of Social Work. Providing access to language learning, transportation, and leadership opportunities are a few of the strategies recommended by a year-long research study from Columbus City Council and The Ohio State University that focused on strengthening immigrants' sense of belonging in their new communities in #Columbus.
